How We Work

From first conversation
to the day you turn the key.

Every project follows the same six phases. Predictable enough to plan around, flexible enough to respect the fact that your home isn't a template.

iDiscover

We meet. We listen.

Every project begins with a real conversation, in your space if possible, over coffee otherwise. We want to understand not just what you want the home to look like, but how you actually want to live in it.

What happens

  • A 60–90 minute conversation, no commitment
  • Site walk-through and measurements
  • Initial fit and budget discussion
  • A written brief we both agree on
Typically 1–2 weeks
iiDesign

Mood, plan, and possibility.

This is where we translate the brief into a real, seeable design. Mood boards, floor plans, and 3D visualisations. You'll see the home before we build it.

What happens

  • Mood boards and material direction
  • Detailed 2D drawings and 3D renders
  • Two rounds of revision built in
  • Final design sign-off before we quote
Typically 3–5 weeks
iiiQuote

Costed to the last handle.

A detailed, line-item quotation. No hidden extras, no "we'll sort out that later." What you agree here is what we deliver.

What happens

  • Line-item quote by trade and material
  • Payment milestones tied to progress
  • Contract and timeline signed
  • 10% contingency line for scope changes
Typically 1 week
ivBuild

Where the hands meet the wood.

Our team of craftspeople, contractors, and specialists execute the design. You get a project lead who's on-site regularly, and weekly progress updates so you're never wondering.

What happens

  • Civil, plumbing, electrical, ceiling, flooring
  • Custom joinery built in our workshop
  • Weekly progress reports with photos
  • Site walkthroughs every 2 weeks
Typically 8–16 weeks
vStyle

The last ten percent.

Furniture placed. Art hung. Lighting adjusted. The soft goods, the ceramics, the small books on the coffee table. This is the phase most studios skip. It's the phase that changes everything.

What happens

  • Furniture delivery and placement
  • Soft furnishings, drapes, cushions
  • Art and object curation
  • Final lighting balance and dimmer settings
Typically 1–2 weeks
viHandover

The keys, and then some.

A styled, photographed handover. Care instructions for every finish. A 12-month snag warranty. We stay reachable long after we leave, this is not a one-and-done relationship.

What happens

  • Full handover walkthrough with the family
  • Care and maintenance guide document
  • Styled photography (optional)
  • 12-month snag list warranty
